Bilge Sponge

This sponge is used to drain water that has entered the cockpit of a kayak. The main body sponge is made of cellulose sponge, which has excellent water absorbency and water retention properties and can absorb 20 to 30 times its own weight in water. Since the sponge holds the absorbed water moderately, water does not easily fall out when the sponge is lifted, enabling efficient draining. To prevent spillage due to settling or other causes, the main body is placed in a mesh bag with an elastic drawcord and plastic nutcord. *Cellulose sponge becomes hard when dry, so it is sealed with moderate water retention during shipping. Stiffness will vary depending on drying conditions.
