Altiplano Pack - a lightweight waterproof roll-top backpack

A simple backpack equipped with the Roll-Up Closure System that offers excellent operability and water resistance. Extremely lightweight, it's suitable not only for day hikes but also for overnight stays in mountain huts or lightweight tent camping.

Constructed with a double-layer structure consisting of a main body and a waterproof inner bag. The main body is designed with a simple pattern that minimizes seams to enhance water resistance and durability. Inside, it features a waterproof inner bag called the "Aqua Barrier Sack," with seam-sealed construction. The opening uses a roll-up closure for high airtightness, providing exceptional waterproofing that shuts out water penetration into the pack's interior.*The main body is NOT waterproof.

The custom-designed waterproof inner bag, which fits the shape of the main body, easily attaches and detaches with hook-and-loop fasteners, making it easy to dry and maintain. When attached, the opening integrates with the main body, allowing smoother access to your belongings compared to using a standard waterproof stuff sack. Even if the outside of the backpack gets dirty from rain or mud, you can remove the Aqua Barrier Sack and bring your belongings into a mountain hut or tent without making a mess inside.*While backpacks fitted with the Aqua Barrier Sack have very high water resistance, they are not suitable for use underwater where water pressure is applied.

Utilizes Montbell's proprietary shell material "Ballistic nylon", which combines both lightweight properties and strength. This material is strengthened by applying a drawing process to the nylon yarn at the spinning stage, resulting in a fabric that achieves twice the tear strength of conventional nylon at the same weight.
