Ordering Changes when Shipping Products to the United States

Thank you for your continued patronage of the Montbell Online Store.

We are pleased to announce that we are simplifying the ordering process on our website to make it more convenient to order Montbell products, no matter where they might be physically located. When you select the US as your "Ship to" location, all products will now show as shipping from the US, and orders will be paid for in US dollars. Read below for more details about the upcoming changes.

Previously, customers could choose a product based on where it was warehoused, either at our distribution center in the US or Japan. For products at our distribution center in Japan, orders would be shipped directly to the customer from Japan and paid for in Japanese yen. To simplify the ordering process, when the "Ship to" location is set to the United States, all products will now be treated as shipping from the US, even if they are not physically available at our US distribution center. Products not warehoused in the US will appear with a new "Special Order" button. Special orders will ship from Japan to our US distribution center, and the US distribution center will then ship the product to your shipping address in the US.

Although "special orders" may take longer to fulfill, the overall ordering process will be more straightforward, with no need for currency conversions, allowing you to shop with confidence. This change will also simplify the return process.

Shipments:
Customers could choose which distribution center would ship their order
Checkout Currency:
Depending on where the product was warehoused, the transaction currency could be in US dollars or Japanese yen
Returns:
Customers needed to ship return products to the distribution center that originally shipped the product, ie a product shipped from Japan to the US must be shipped back to Japan.
