Laundry care instructions

Washing as part of maintenance

Regular washing is essential for long-lasting and comfortable use of the product. When a garment looks dirty, or even when it doesn't appear to be dirty, perspiration, the oils our bodies naturally produce, and other contaminants gradually accumulate through daily use. Neglecting to remove these contaminants can lead to a decline in the product's original functionality and deterioration of the materials.
Washing is fundamental to product maintenance. Be sure to follow the care label instructions and perform regular maintenance using the correct methods.

Leaving contaminants will accelerate deterioration.

A condition where the seam tape of the garment has come off
If perspiration, the oils our bodies naturally produce, and other contaminants are allowed to stay on the fabric, they can penetrate deep into the fabric, potentially accelerating the deterioration of waterproof membranes, adhesives, and other components. If you wash the garment in this condition, it may lead to serious product issues, such as further delamination of the seam tape.
If your product is visibly dirty, wash it as soon as possible to maintain cleanliness, thereby preventing deterioration and potential issues.

How to read care labels

Image of care label symbols
By checking the care labels, you can determine the correct washing method for the product. For example, even with the same GORE-TEX products, the washing method may vary depending on the materials of other parts (such as padding, lining, snap buttons, etc.). Therefore, always check the 'care label' before washing.
The care label is usually sewn on the inside of the product along with the garment label. Some products may not have a label. In such cases, please contact us for further information.

The importance of rinsing

If a product isn't rinsed sufficiently, and then used with detergent residue remaining on the product, it may result in a decrease or loss of water resistance and water repellency. Ensure thorough rinsing.

When stains persist after washing

Depending on the type of stain, or if it has set in due to prolonged neglect, it may not come out even with washing. Moreover, once mold develops, it is virtually impossible to remove in most cases.
